Symbiosis – Council of Europe School of Political Studies in Greece and Development Agency of Heraklion are organising a seminar on “Participatory Democracy with Migrants Active Citizens.” This initiative is implemented within the framework of the European project EMVI: Empowering Migrant Voices on Integration and Inclusion policies and it is scheduled for Friday, October 20, 2023, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm

The event aims to examine migration and asylum in the context of European and national policies, along with issues related to social and political rights, while at the same time it underscores the importance of inclusive social and political participation of migrants, who constitute an integral part of the city’s entire population. Distinguished academics, experts, and representatives from various organisations, institutions, and communities will engage in a meaningful dialogue, fostering the exchange of ideas, perspectives, and proposals. The goal is to advance the ideals of participatory democracy, inclusion policies, and the development of an inclusive society.
